Overview:
Tripod provides 2 MB of free web space to just about
anyone who wants it - no strings attached. This allows anyone with desire,
regardless of budget, to establish an effective presence on the World Wide
Web. Tripod's revenue model keeps member sites free by displaying paid
banner advertising at the bottom of Tripod member pages (such as this one).
In June, 1997, Tripod increased available web space from a mere 200 kilobytes
to a whopping 2 MB, making it perfect for hosting small-to-medium sites.

• Can't make subdirectories
• FTP access is limited to uploading; other housekeeping such as
renaming and deleting files must be done from the
Tripod "housekeeping" web site.
• Tripod masthead and banner appear at the bottom of all member pages
